Hurricane Isabel - photos & articles from 'The Carteret County News-Times'.

Landfall in Carteret County was September 18, 2003

Reference websites:

The rains of hurricane Isabel flooded many communities and towns in Carteret County, N.C. Many habitable structures were submerged to a depth of four-to-six feet. Isabel's visit to this area lasted perhaps six hours; her devastation took more than a year to undo.

I wish to thank NEWS-TIMES staff members Cheryl Burke (Reporter and Photographer for education, religion, municipal, and community college news) and Beth Blake (Managing Editor / General News) for their assistance and for sharing ISABEL photos and newspaper articles.
