Venezuela
February 1982
During a "period of separation" from AT&T Information Systems,
I was a self-employed information systems consultant in Atlanta Georgia during 1981-1982. One
of my clients was
Theodore Barry & Associates,
a management consultant firm based in Los Angeles. Consultants in the firm's Atlanta office
contracted from me the development and implementation of a "Line Crew Management System". While
under contract with this firm, consultants in the Atlanta office asked me be a member of their
consulting team in Venezuela. This was a short-term assignment: three weeks duration. While in
Venezuela, I evaluated several legacy information systems inherited by "Logovan S.A. Refinery"
when Venezuela nationalized Exxon holdings.
