Island Crafts Consignment Shop

For one year, I supported the efforts of local crafts people by providing a storefront in which they placed on consignment their handmade crafts and art. In the non-public area of the store, I had a small office from which I operated my other business ventures.

For a business start-up, the craft store showed promise of "being in the black" within a few months, as of its 12th month of operation. At the end of the year, I offered to give the craft store business to the group of crafts people - they declined ownership. I closed the store - the costs proved greater than I was willing to bear.
