Other "rock-n-roll" bands: "The Weejuns" and "The Embers". Don Miller, owner of "Don's Music City"
in Greensboro N.C. was a good friend and the Weejun's leader/guitarist/vocalist. I filled in as
bass guitarist with The Embers (from Raleigh N.C.) in order to pay off bills/debt I incurred setting
up a household for my first marriage and the medical/hospital bills associated with the birth of
my first daughter (eg: no medical insurance coverage, at the time).

The Country Sounds, circa 1975.
Above, left to right: Neal Norman, guitar, banjo, fiddle, steel guitar, vocals;
Norm Gullick, guitar, mandolin, vocals;
Jim Stanfield, bass guitar;
Clarence Thomas, guitar, harmonica, vocals;
Moe Childress, guitar, vocals.
Not visible: Doug Bayliff, drums, vocals.
(Note: All of us worked full-time for AT&T in Atlanta. We played
for fun and because we each love blue grass and country music!)
