"The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment" by Eckhart Tolle.
Mr. Tolle repeatedly emphasizes that all we have is the present moment, the NOW, and that most
of our problems living in the present moment result from mentally and emotionally reliving or
being distracted and absorbed by past events and experiences; or, by trying to live a future
precious moment in the current NOW moment of time.
Without doubt, and to a large degree, our current life moment is the result of the past AND our
anticipation and striving toward a future event and experience. Mr. Tolle's "message" -
"living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment" - underscores the importance
of being more conscious and aware of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of our ability to live in
genuine peace and happiness.
Do I recommend this book? Yes; but as a supplement to the main spiritual teachings, path,
and "grace" one has already assimilated.
