"The Ages of Gaia: A Biography of Our Living Earth" by James Lovelock.
Mr. Lovelock is a British geophysicist who originated the theory that the world is a
self-regulating system that, over the eons, has been able to sustain an equilibrium
between hot and cold that supports life. Propelled by global warming, a tipping point
has almost been reached beyond which the Earth will not recover sufficiently to sustain
human life . . . comfortably.
Mr. Lovelock offers an existing and proven technology for averting climatic disaster. His
theories, knowledge, suggestions should not be ignored or dismissed as quackery: to do so
is to gamble with the future of humanity.
